An incredibly funny musical comedy based on the play of the same name by M. Starytskyi. Svyryd Holohvostyi, the main character of the picture, is a charming swindler. In order to pay off his card debts, Svyryd comes up with a cunning plan, which suddenly begins to develop in a completely different way than the hero assumed. Talented Soviet actors - Oleg Borisov, Nonna Koperzhynska, Margarita Krynitsyna and Mykola Yakovchenko - starred in the film.
